The Last Grandfather

What irritates me the most about my grandfather's recent death is that I can't seem to write anything meaningful or grandiose or...or...fitting. I think it's because I'm too close. It's easy to write celebrity memorial haiku because I don't know them as real people. It's different with someone you've known all your life.10/6/2004 2:22 AM
Since I've never gotten into the whole "baring your soul" thing that many bloggers do, it's no big whoop. I won't even talk about the long walk in the woods that I took today. Instead, I'm keeping this to myself. Sorry Interweb, no tears and pathos today. Maybe tomorrow I'll write a haiku for Rodney Dangerfield. Semper fudge!
