Hurt Squirrels
The Last Grandfather
10/6/2004 2:22 AM
What irritates me the most about my grandfather's recent death is that I can't seem to write anything meaningful or grandiose or...or...fitting. I think it's because I'm too close. It's easy to write celebrity memorial haiku because I don't know them as real people. It's different with someone you've known all your life.

Since I've never gotten into the whole "baring your soul" thing that many bloggers do, it's no big whoop. I won't even talk about the long walk in the woods that I took today. Instead, I'm keeping this to myself. Sorry Interweb, no tears and pathos today. Maybe tomorrow I'll write a haiku for Rodney Dangerfield. Semper fudge!
