Kate lay sprawled in the easy chair, gazing at the TV and absently strumming one of the songs from "Aladdin." Matt looked at her and asked, "Why did you start playing the bass, anyway?"7/25/2003 2:52 AM
"I think I was influenced by Josie and the Pussycats."
Matt though about this for a minute. "They didn't have a bass player."
"I know," she said. "I was compensating for that. Secretly, I was the fourth Pussycat."
"That's kind of weird, Kate."
"At least I wasn't a fan of the Archies." She began playing the theme to "Barney Miller" as Matt flipped through the channels.
